Lacey Hand-tooled Leather Mules

The shoes arrived safely. While the shoes are lovely and look very well made with very fine leather tooling and stitching, however they are not as in the image. The leather is much darker than the advertised image. While I understand there would be slight variations, this is more than and quite extreme. The leather is stiff and difficulty to walk in, very little flexibility in the soles. The lining inside the shoe is synthetic - a type of polyester lining. I am not sure how long it would take to break it in but the shoes do not feel comfortable - the lining is very rough on the skin without socks. As much as I like the look of the shoes but comfort is paramount when you are on your feet for more than 8 hours at work.
